Elder Samuel Barlow - Florida Jacksonille Mission

  What's up ya'll! This week has been pretty good and nothing much happened. But here are two things that are pretty cool. We got a call on Saturday from just a random number, the girl on the phone was like yo missionaries I want to come back to church, and I have a fiancée who's not a member so can we have the discussions in our home? I was blown away it was awesome. We had a lesson with them on Sunday and it went well but they live outside our are so we referred them over. It was a bummer but hey they are still getting taught the gospel so I can't complain that much. I still would've liked to teach them because I think they could progress really well.  Transfers are happening this week and I am staying in the Gainesville 2nd ward and getting Elder Dobbs from the Taiwan mission. I'm super hyped it will be really cool, especially since he speaks Mandarin and we have an investigator here that speaks 0 English and is from China so that is prime. This week in come ...

  This weeks highlight was definitely kahoot! We got to do one with the whole mission on Preach My Gospel, but downside the music didn't work.  Also this week I got a haircut hence the title. Our mission president suggested that elders get a haircut because apparently my hair was shaggy which is rare for me lol. Elder Afualo came over and a did a nice job for the circumstances, here are some nice quotes from him while cutting my hair "oh well, I'll just eyeball it"  "crap I screwed up the calic again"  "oh no" 7x "this is definitely one of the better missionary cuts I've done"  Anyway I've been studying and sleeping and eating a lot, so other than not being able to proselyte I'm doing pretty good Love yall, go read Elder Holland's talk Safety for the Soul it's great Elder Barlow
