September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

 Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights


Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving. 

That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. It was hard to leave but I challenged her to take the lessons for real and she said yes so that was awesome. Also she said I could come back anytime and take her kayaks out! 
Wednesday was transfers and that was a terribly long day. Got to see a couple of my buddies but for the most part I had to stand in the humidity for 6 hours which was not fun. Finally got to the new area Ft Caroline. It is on the east side of Jacksonville. It has already been great here, my comp is Elder Wojnar and he goes home at the end of the transfer so that's good for him. 

We got to move in a new family on Friday, the Jeffrey's. Pretty crazy they both served their missions in Jacksonville, and Sister Jeffrey's is from Cottonwood heights and grew up in the 8th ward, so I asked if she knew my favorite fam over there, the Fankhausers of course she did I mean who doesn't. So shout out Fankhausers I don't know her first name or her parents name but they still live there. Cool stuff. We also fit 5 dudes in the front cab of the moving truck lol people were laughing at us on the road. Church was great, and we have been able to eat with some awesome members. 

That's pretty much it, I love you all and also prepare for general conference in 2 weeks it's gonna be a good time

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
