August 27, 2019 - Week 2

This week flew by. It started off so awesome, Elder Bednar came and gave the greatest talk about just being good and moving forward, showing that action first and then the spirit will guide you. I think a lot of times we wait for a sign or a prompting from the holy ghost to tell us where to go and that kind of stalls us in progression, but as we show heavenly father that we are taking action with faith then he will guide us. Probably the strongest spiritual experience I have had while I have been out here.

I have been pretty sick this week with a cold, so it's been hard to focus in classes and stuff but I'm starting to get better slowly. We have started doing teaching classes this past week and they have gone well, it's kind of difficult to teach so much information in a 25 min lesson but I am learning a lot about how to teach and how to make it effective. I got my travel plans!! I love the MTC and all but I feel ready to leave even though I have a week left.

We almost died in the elevator lol. Six of us were going up when suddenly it dropped like two feet and a voice came on saying they were having small difficulties, we could feel the elevator shaking so as soon as the doors opened we sprinted out. It was hilarious.

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

  Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving.  That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
