September 16, 2019 - Work work work

This week has flown by so fast. I have finally started to get in the swing of things and it's starting to cool down so I don't swear ;) as much lol. So I just want to talk about a couple things that happened this week. The members here are freaking awesome, they are all super nice and supportive of us. One of the members actually went to Brighton like 20 years ago and had Mrs Mattson as a teacher when she was young so it was cool to make that connection. 


We went to go visit a guy who was taught by some missionaries a while ago and that conversation was just interesting. He talked about how the bible isn't completely truthful and it leaves a ton of stuff out, he told us to go look in genesis because he told us that Eve wasn't Adam's first wife but it was actually lilith. So yeah, he like has a strong faith in god and the bible and other books that I've never heard about but really doesn't feel like he needs church.

P-Day!
We bought pillsbury sugar cookies and made no bake cookies which made my day. We read a talk about the faith to find converts and literally ten minutes later we went out and found this lady on the sidewalk and she was kind of looking for answers but she didn't know who to ask so we had a really good conversation, oh and her grandpa had just died a little bit ago, she cried a little and said she would call us to set up an appointment. Really cool stuff. 


Then we talked to a guy named Rafael who's super chill and a police officer and he said we could come over and read the book of mormon with him. I know that as we listen to the spirit and be obedient then heavenly father will put us in the places we need to be and that has become very apparent lately.

We played some very intense games of spikeball. We helped this awesome family move, the kids are really cute and crazy. One of the kids asked me how long I was staying in Florida for and I said two years and he screamed "Yessss" and did like a fist pump. So that was awesome. Biking is fun, working is fun, studying is fun, sleeping is especially fun haha.

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

  Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving.  That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
