September 30, 2019 - Crazy Wacky Stuff



This week has been so wild! I have been on two trade offs this week and I have stayed in my area while another missionary came with me so i have kind of had to take point and be the senior companion this week. But it's been good and helped me learn a lot being the one in charge. The weirdest thing happend to me while i was on a trade off with Elder Cosgrove (from bountiful, he goes home next transfer), we were biking to see some guy and we saw a baby squirrel with no fur, the eyes weren't even open yet, lying on the ground. We freaked out and saved it to take it to a vet but then we saw two other babies next to it. We think they fell out of the tree, but in the chaos we had three baby squirrels barely moving/breathing in our hands on our bikes riding back to the apartment lol. We tried to feed them milk and then left them in our apartment to go do more work. We got a call that they can't be cold but we left them on a wet paper towel in our 68 degree apartment so we rushed back rapped them in a dish towel and sat in our garage sweating for 20 min until a member came and took them to an animal hospital. Sadly we lost one of them but two out three wasn't bad. So yeah that's my story, the squirrels are doing good now! Then we went and got bashed by a 80 year old guy we went to try and visit and ask if we could do service for sp that was delightful. Um otherwise this week was boring, we had our first teaching appointment fall through, and a family accidentally fed us breakfast on sunday because we didn't know it was fast sunday and neither did they. One of their sons has gone to the BYU soccer camps and had the fankhausers as his coaches each time so that was super cool to make that connection.
We have been watching the book of mormon videos and they are so awesome. They really bring the scriptures to life! So if you havent watched them go watch them, they aren't very long but are so good.

So something that was super cool we got two guys trying to get the melchizideck priesthood, both older dads, to bless the sacrament. And it was so sick and I felt the spirit so strong seeing those two use their priesthood for like the first time. Then we saw the new programs for the youth they look super awesome!

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

  Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving.  That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
