December 9, 2019 - December

Second week of the new transfer was really good and somehow its December all ready. Wednesday we went to help Patt spread some mulch in her yard, which she is very particular about but we do it the best apparently because she doesn't even have her lawn guy she hires do it. Afterwards we got to pick fresh oranges and grapefruits off her trees and that was way fun, now our fridge is stocked with citrus. That night we went over to Jerry's for a lesson, we talked about King Benjamin and he said he was going to read the story again because it was his favorite, remember this is a devout catholic non member who totally believes the book of Mormon is true but won't ever convert. He went on to tell us about people in the world who can move things with their mind, he thinks if he tried really hard he could move a marble with his mind, I wanted to call him out right there but I thought it would be better to just let it go really funny though.

Thursday we texted Chad in the morning "what's up" and he said it was funny we said that and had us come out to a field to look up at the sky something about the clouds and some conspiracy theory but we were meant to be there cause his car battery died so we jumped his car. That was good. Later that day we had an awesome lesson with Tom about the book of Mormon and I think if he starts reading it he will get a testimony and everything. He is super promising, he told us if God wanted to have Joseph Smith translate plates he would do it, and I was like yeah now just read it and find it to be true.

Friday was amazing we got to go do service at a ranch I guess you could call it with the sister missionaries in the area next to us. The lady who lives there owns three horses and one miniature horse named Lakota. We helped her fix her electric fence and the only way to see if it was working again was to touch it so we got shocked a couple times. She also has two dogs Dixie and Miracle, miracle is a pug who is crazy old and won't let anyone pick her up cause she'll growl and try and bite. But guess who did? Yup not me, I felt like she was going to break because she is so old so I tried once but just put her right back down. Also I was trying so hard to catch a chicken like in Creed but it's harder than it sounds especially when I'm afraid the chicken is gonna peck me, but next time I'll get it.

Saturday was fun, we went down to a members house and their are some nice outdoor courts in a facility nearby so we played some basketball. Yesterday we had dinner and the member had cake for dessert and she put mayonnaise in it instead of an egg so that sounded just about as awful as food could possibly be but turns out mayonnaise is just eggs anyway which I had no idea, moral of the story the chocolate cake tasted normal. The Christmas devotional was awesome as well, I hope you all can find ways to serve people and find joy in that service because that is what brings the Christmas spirit, along with Jim Carey's how the grinch stole Christmas. Love you all
