January 13, 2020 - Meaningful Pictures

This week was really cool because we had lots of opportunities to use the priesthood and teach a lot of lessons. This flew by. Tuesday was our last district council of the transfer and we are losing some awesome missionaries. We went to woodpeckers which is supposed to be just nice southern BBQ place but it was a huge disappointment. Their water and soda tasted like straight swamp water. But we had a great lesson with Jerry and we watched the book of mormon videos with him and he loved them and told us he was going to reread those first chapters.

Wednesday we went and picked oranges and grapefruits at Patts and she wants everyone to know she doesn't let us go on the ladder with out the other one holding it and she makes sure we get our daily vitamin C from her oranges. so everyone can stop worrying. Bad thing though she asked if we liked vegetable cause she just made it specifically for us, my comp said no but I felt bad cause I thought she made it like right then so we could take it so I said yes. Then I may have slipped in there my mom used to make vegetable soup (which I'm sure she has at one point) to make it seem like I really wanted it. Turns out it was cold and was probably made a week ago and she gave us the left overs which is very thoughtful but I don't like vegetable soup. Thursday was crazy two short stories... We saw four Dalmatians! Four within like 5 minutes it was awesome cause I've never seen them in real life, next we stopped and sat on a bench to answer a phone call and a teenage kid was alone walking by and being a missionary I asked the kid "what's up" he responded "the sky!" so we gave each other a point and laughed and now we're best friends I hope to see him again.

Oh and this lady posted on some neighborhood social media that us missionaries were meeting and making appointments with little kids without parents there or their permission, the best part is she said she confronted us but we continued to talk to the kids and make appointments. Super annoying because this is completely made up we never met this lady Susan. Our ward has been awesome a lot of members have commented and totally backed us up! Also our mission president is a lawyer so we are gonna win (win what idk but it sounded good)! Down side lots of people look at us weirder than before haha! Friday we went and racked? leaves at Jackie's and it took forever I had ptsd from doing the peoples backyard who lived in Dave Dunns house before. It was crazy! I also talked to the goats there again.

Friday night we were on our way back from dinner and right in front of our apartment complex we saw two totaled cars and police cars and ambulances. While we were looking we thought we saw one of the youth standing on the side of the road, so we parked and hurried over there. Turns out our youth, Jackson, was driving and some lady turned right into him. He was totally fine but Sierra another one of our youth was in the back of the car and her legs got smashed pretty hard. Both her parents were out of town and the member parent that came didn't have the melchezideck priesthood. So we went with them to the hospital to give her a blessing. She ended up having a minor fracture in her leg and lots of bruising. It really is a miracle it wasn't worse because the cars are both destroyed. Saturday we had another good lesson with Walt and we talked about faith a lot and he came to church on Sunday! Anyway that's pretty much it love you all

Enjoy these meaningful pics
