January 6, 2020 - 2020 Woohoo!

We had a fun new years and still got to bed at 10:30 when we were supposed to. We went over to the Posts and had food and played games and watched the ball drop just kidding we left and were home by nine just as the mission president said to be. All good it didn't feel any different. We went and helped Patt by picking oranges and weeds and she loves us, she gives us a ton of oranges when she's done. Also we told her one of us might be leaving soon and she said she'd cry if that happened and to give her president woods number lol.

Ok so a lot of people have asked me what's the weirdest thing I've eaten and I don't know how to answer because I get fed by a bunch of middle class members of the relief society so there has been literally nothing until Wednesday. We went over to Chad's for lunch and his brother shot a deer last week so we had deer tacos(I know super anti climactic because that's not super weird, but a good story for this areas stereotype) and they tasted pretty dang good. I hung a shelf and fixed a couch at Deanna so you could say I'm a carpenter now. Saturday we had a good lesson with Walt and he's the dad of a part member family and the one we went to the football game with. He has a son on a mission in Germany and they got permission to FaceTime in and help teach so that was neat. He is a stubborn guy but hopefully his son can soften him up. 

 We had dinner with the shields that night and they are awesome but also full vegan and we had meat enchiladas but they can't have meat so I have no idea what I ate but it tasted pretty good but it didn't sit very well. Now for the big news we had transfer calls that night and Elder Dockstader and I (good grammar pat on my back) are staying here in Julington Creek so that's good. I'm excited to find out why I needed to stay here because I for sure thought I was gone. Oh Bigger news Elder Bednar is coming to our stake conference another reason I'm happy I'm staying.

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

  Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving.  That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
