February 3, 2020 - "February"
This week was pretty cool. We went to this awesome food place called Hurricane and I got the Macdaddy burger which was awesome it had fried Mac and cheese on the burger so lots of cheesy goodness. On the topic of food this week we had 3 different member dinners cancel in a row and they each sent us a pizza so we had three nights of pizza but each of them were from a different place. Unfortunately pizza hut was last and its already not that good to begin with so I was kinda done by then. We went to a family that just moved into our ward and they have three little boys who are the funniest. The oldest was trying to be good but wanted to play with toys, the middle child showed us all of his toys right during our spiritual thought, the youngest who is about 1 year old would not stop trying to talk to us the entire time. It was great.
We went straight to a ward basketball night becasue they have an inactive member who likes to play basketball but they don't so they asked if we could go haha. Turns out the guy went to Olympus so that was cool. We went to Jackies on Friday and we are building an extension on the stalls so that was fun. We had a good lesson with Walt on Saturday morning but he is really stubborn so it is taking a while to get where we want him to be. We went straight to sports day after that and we did a 3 point contest and some other fun games but we had very few youth come but it was still good.
Our ward mission leader Brother Bonaro and another guy we talk to a lot Bro Hurt took us to a dinner at Clark's fishcamp restaurant. It was an experience for sure, they have a live gator in the restaurant. They have so many taxidermy animals like any one you could think of they have, my favorite was the giraffe. Also I got to try gator tail for the first time! I think the best way I could explain it is a chicken nugget and a shrimp had a baby overall not bad.
Sunday was really good too we had a great lesson and lots of little kids got up to bear their testimony which is always entertaining. One thought I had from this week's come follow me was when Nephi was building a boat he worked and from time to time the lord guided him in how he was to build it. He didn't have the complete blueprint at first but he worked and then was directed every once in a while. I think that's what life is we are supposed to work and make decisions and then time to time God will give us some guidance to make sure we are going in the right direction then we go to work again the best we can after receiving that little push. I love you all have a fantastic week!
