June 29, 2020 - Another One

This week has been super busy! Wednesday we had transfers and we picked up Elder Hall, he is reassigned from Argentina. He's from Ogden and he's way dope. We are in a trio until this Thursday when we will drop off Elder Dobbs at the airport so he can go back to Taiwan.

We have been doing service at this his trailer that burned down a year ago. It has been so fun, I'll attach a ton of pictures. We have literally done every sort of work and probably put in 20 hours into it. The lady who owns it, Rhonda, isn't a member but most of her family is. She is so awesome and nice, and feeds us every time! Her sisters grandkids were there one time and they are so funny and they brought a 6 week old black lab puppy and it was so cute. Let me just say when a southern country lady tells you the 2 by 4 you took of the wall is a good one and to keep it, you do. The trailer is really coming together and we are going to work on it more this week too.

Friday we got the best call ever, our branch president said that he had a referral for us and wanted to have the lesson in their home! It was so sick, we went and met Tony and Michelle, they are so awesome. We got to have dinner and also teach them the first lesson, which was my first time doing it in a while but there is no better feeling. They are so open and willing to learn and President Flynn and his wife are so good at bearing testimony of what we say and their own experiences. We are going to have another lesson with them this Friday! Saturday we had a lesson with our Chinese friend and it went really good I'm pretty sure lol. I babysat again and ended up with a bunch of toys and dog toys in my lap, Mira their one year old loves to bring anything she can find to me. It's great but gets kinda awkward when she brings in her dad's pants and gives them to me haha.

After that we started to film this awesome video for our Facebook page, it's gonna be amazing so check it out if you have Facebook @churchofjesuschristingainesville, it will probably be out on Thursday. Yesterday we got to go to sacrament with a member and also had breakfast, it's crazy being able to actually do that after staying home for 3 months. They have the cutest 4 yr old dog Kevin, he's a boxer and super energetic, kinda reminds me of blue but more obedient lol. Somehow everything is better when we have people to teach and the Lord is still preparing people even during these tough times.

I have such a strong testimony of Joseph Smith and his calling as a prophet, I challenge yall to go reread the first vision this week, it brings the most powerful spirit I have felt in my life!

Love yall, thanks for all the support!
