March 22, 2021 - March Madness

 It has definitely been a while but here we go

First off I miss march madness but since BY lost and that would have busted my perfect bracket if I made one, I found it easy to move on because of that lol.

This week was good for the most part. On Wednesday to Thursday I got to go on an exchange with Elder Dockstader, which is the guy that trained me. It was way fun but also really weird because its been over a year since we were comps. We got to go serve this older lady, we filled a bunch of gopher holes and also picked up rocks from her yard. We didn't know what to do with the rocks so we just started chucking them into the woods and she walked around to check on us right as I threw like 3 rocks lol, she was like I have a bucket y'all can put them in but that works too. She didn't mind so we kept throwing. 

We ate dinner with three old ladys at this restaurant and it was really good except they ordered fried mushrooms. If you can think of a more southern old lady decision for an appetizer then let me know but I think this is it. For the record they are better then normal mushrooms but so is everything thats fried and dipped in ranch. All of our lessons canceled this week which is a bummer but we got back in contact with a lady that we have been trying to reach for over a month. Apparently she lost her phone, but now she is really excited to meet with us again which is great. 

We had dinner at our Branch mission leaders house, and his mother in law lives with them, she is 90 somethin years old and has pretty bad dementia so she says and does some funny stuff. Every week it is a fight to get her to not feed the dog her plate of food, so this week they gave her some doggy treats to feed the dog instead. But about 30 seconds later she picks up the treat and eats it lolol it was gross but hilarious. she didnt even realize it until we told her.

  Yes indeed, this will be my last weekly email. I don't know how all of you are going to live without my every once in a while updates lol. This week has been awesome. It has gone by so fast, we have had so many different things to do. On Tuesday we had beers with Brother dodge (don't worry its just root beer but he likes to freak people out and have fun with it). We went with him to a recent converts place, Bob, to watch a book of Mormon video and it was wonderful until the video ended and bro dodge proceeded to tell Vietnam War stories for 2 hours. It was brutal. OK so there is a recent convert here named Grace and she is probably one of the coolest people I've met on my mission. We got to talk to her on Thurs night and hear her conversion story and it was awesome. She is one of those people that just gets it, and she is all in for the gospel. September 21, 2020 - Go Jags

  Yo! This week was filled with a bunch of stuff so I'll give a few highlights Monday we golfed in the morning, hit up bdubs (their new sauces are trash) and then had a nerf war lol, felt like I was 12 again. It was awesome. Tuesday we did service at some organic farm, pretty cool since the lady requested help on Facebook, and that was something. We picked sweet potatoes for 4 straight hours, I could never be a farmer. I did find the largest potato and it was about the size of my head. Ants, spiders, and ticks were all prevalent but I'm still moving.  That night we went to Rhondas for a little good bye dinner. It was sweet we had lasagna and she also got apple pie and ice cream, because I said pie was my favorite. I felt I had made a mistake after she put two huge pieces on my plate with ice cream, but I was a champ and put it down. June 8, 2020 - Tropical Storm < Tropical Wool

  This week has actually been really good! We had interviews this week with President Wood and we got to do them in person so that was awesome! We also had a referral this week for a Bible study and this dude is awesome, his name is Sedrick and he loved being able to study with us. Hopefully he will be just as excited to hear about the restoration! We also finally got to have a sit down lesson our Chinese friend and it was awesome! Just kidding I have no idea since I didn't understand anything but I think it went pretty good and she wants to keep doing more so that's something.  It has been raining for like a week straight because of the tropical storm in Louisiana. Which is great but it washes out all the ants from the dirt and so they are all over the parking lot, we've had ants all over and in our car for 3 straight days.
